Question 1

Where are Shawarmo's branches located?

Accepted Answer

Shawarmo has two branches in Selangor. Sunway is at Fresco Cafeteria, 5 Jalan Universiti, Bandar Sunway, 47500 Petaling Jaya. Damansara is at SEGi University Cafeteria, 9 Jalan Teknologi, PJU 5 Kota Damansara, 47810 Petaling Jaya. Both are inside campus cafeterias.

Question 2

What are Shawarmo's opening hours?

Accepted Answer

Both branches are open Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We are closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Hours can vary during semester breaks and public holidays — check our Instagram (@_shawarmo_) or message us on WhatsApp at +60 18-261 0289 before visiting on those days.

Question 3

How can I order from Shawarmo?

Accepted Answer

You can order four ways: GrabFood, Foodpanda, and ShopeeFood for delivery from either branch, or WhatsApp at +60 18-261 0289 for direct orders and questions. You can also walk in and order at the counter at either Sunway or Damansara during opening hours. Pick whichever is easiest.

Question 4

Does Shawarmo deliver on weekends?

Accepted Answer

Our branches are closed on weekends, so weekend delivery isn't available right now. We're open Monday to Friday only. If you'd like to order a Shawarmo wrap on a weekend, your best bet is to grab one before 5 PM Friday — the Arabic Shawarma Platter Combo travels well and feeds a small group.

Question 5

Does Shawarmo serve pork or alcohol?

Accepted Answer

No. Shawarmo serves Middle Eastern food made without pork or alcohol of any kind. We are not currently JAKIM-certified, so we don't market the menu as halal — but the kitchen is pork-free and alcohol-free. If JAKIM certification is essential for your needs, we recommend checking the latest list of certified establishments.

Question 6

What's the bestseller at Shawarmo?

Accepted Answer

Our bestseller is the Classic Chicken Shawarma — marinated chicken, crispy fries, and fresh cabbage wrapped in warm lavash with creamy garlic, chili, and shawarma sauce. The fan favorite is the Chicken Shawarma Loaded Fries, and the Arabic Shawarma Platter Combo is the top pick for sharing.

Question 7

Are there vegetarian options at Shawarmo?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The Falafel Sandwich is our vegetarian wrap — falafel, crispy fries, fresh cabbage, boiled egg, garlic sauce, and tahini in lavash. The Fries Sandwich is also meat-free if you skip the shawarma sauce. We're a shawarma-first kitchen, so the vegetarian list is small but real.

Question 8

How much does a shawarma at Shawarmo cost?

Accepted Answer

Shawarmo is in the affordable casual range — single wraps are wallet-friendly, and the platter combos for sharing cost a bit more. Prices can shift slightly between platforms (GrabFood vs Foodpanda vs ShopeeFood). For the most accurate, current prices, check any of our delivery listings or message us on WhatsApp.

Question 9

What's the difference between the Classic Chicken Shawarma and the Chicken Zinger Wrap?

Accepted Answer

The Classic Chicken Shawarma uses marinated, freshly-carved shawarma meat — the traditional preparation. The Chicken Zinger Wrap uses crispy fried chicken strips with cheese sauce instead. Both come in lavash with fries. Pick the Classic for traditional shawarma flavor, the Zinger if you're craving something crunchy.

Question 10

Is there parking at Shawarmo?

Accepted Answer

Both branches are inside university cafeterias, so parking depends on the campus. Sunway has paid parking around Jalan Universiti and Sunway University. Damansara has parking around SEGi University Kota Damansara. Walking from nearby parking takes a few minutes. Many customers also reach us via Grab, public transport, or campus shuttles.

Question 11

Does Shawarmo cater for events or large orders?

Accepted Answer

For large orders, the easiest path is to message us directly on WhatsApp at +60 18-261 0289 with your event date, group size, and which branch is closer. We'll work out timing, menu, and pricing. The Arabic Shawarma Platter Combo and Loaded Fries scale well for groups, and we can advise on quantities.

Question 12

What kind of bread does Shawarmo use?

Accepted Answer

Our wraps use lavash — a thin, soft Middle Eastern flatbread that's the traditional choice for shawarma. It's pliable enough to hold loaded fillings without falling apart and toasts well for the platter combos. We don't use pita or tortilla wraps; lavash is part of what makes the wrap taste right.

Question 13

Are Shawarmo's sauces house-made?

Accepted Answer

Yes — our sauces are made in-house, not bought pre-made. The creamy garlic sauce, shawarma sauce, chili, and tahini are all built from scratch. The house-made sauces are one of the things long-time customers come back for, and they're a big part of why we say 'no shortcuts' applies all the way through the kitchen.

Question 14

Where did Shawarmo start?

Accepted Answer

Shawarmo started in 2021 in Bandar Sunway with a single shawarma spit, one recipe, and an obsession with flavor. We hit 2,500+ wraps served by 2023. In 2025, we opened a second home in Kota Damansara. The mission has been the same since day one — proper shawarma, no compromises.

Question 15

How can I follow Shawarmo for updates and new menu items?

Accepted Answer

Follow us on Instagram at @_shawarmo_ for new menu launches, behind-the-scenes content, and updates on operating hours during semester breaks or public holidays. WhatsApp at +60 18-261 0289 is the fastest way to ask a direct question. We don't have a newsletter yet, so Instagram is the main channel.
